Happy Friday and Happy Earth Day! Are you celebrating Earth Day today? We certainly are with toddler nature school. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like — the sweetest little nature class for my sweet little nature-loving toddler. He LOVES everything to do with the outdoors, so it couldn’t be more perfect for him.
In preparation for class today I did my best to teach him the meaning behind Earth Day. But when mom fails to perfectly convey the importance, Blippi can always step in (which is exactly what we watched last night). Most parents know the show a little too well. Heck, even non-parents are familiar with him.
Make the time to go outside today. Take a walk, plant some flowers, visit a farmers market, or simply sit and enjoy nature for just a quiet moment.

1. Let’s Look: Flower Aesthetic
To celebrate Earth Day I am first sharing a few beautiful photos of Mother Nature. Well, to be more specific, these are my favorite scroll-stopping Pinterest images of flowers I found this past week. Which ones are your favorites? I love the flowers tucked into pockets!
2. Let’s Watch
Late at night is my time to myself. It’s when I blog and simultaneously binge-watch something on Netflix. I prefer to work with background noise. If you caught my post last Friday you read that I am currently watching Outlander for the first time, but it’s a show I watch 1. when I am not blogging (it needs my full attention) and 2. with my husband.
This week I binge-watched Is It Cake? I love baking shows. Mainly because I am living in delusion by thinking I could create those delicious flavors and perfectly decorate desserts.
My favorite baking show of all time is The Great British Baking Show. The contestants and judges are just so nice. It’s a feel-good, calming show to happily binge-watch at any time. Plus, the last time my husband and I had it on every night he started baking cakes for fun. What more could a girl with a sweet tooth want?
3. Let’s Breathe
Allergy season is upon us and it has already been hitting my household hard (mainly my toddler). This year I have implemented two new ways to naturally help clear my sinuses since I suffer from sinus issues year-round.
- We purchased a Navage and so far so good! I really like it more than a regular neti pot because I truly can’t feel the water entering and leaving my nose as I can with the neti pot. Although the weather has been back and forth between warm and cold, so far I have not been struggling with seasonal allergies and my toddler has been (who is not using the Navage). Once the weather remains warm I will report back on my results.
- I’ve been using fresh eucalyptus in the shower for the first time. There is an entire blog post dedicated to this topic coming up in the near future, but I will say right now it can offer some relief to sinuses, among many other benefits!
4. Let’s Shop: Spring Dresses
Here are a few spring dresses I am keeping an eye on (in my shopping cart):
5. Let’s Clean
This week I used for the first time the Bissel Steam Shot. It was very satisfying to use. It really helped clean a few things that would have taken a lot of elbow grease and a few things that I was struggling to remove even with said elbow grease.
Besides the ease of cleaning, I love this product because it cleans without the use of any chemicals. I’ve been trying to make an effort to reduce the number of cleansers with chemicals I use on a daily basis so this product truly helps with that.
I first saw this product being raved about on TikTok, so a blog post dedicated strictly to it will be in the works soon!
Thank you for taking the time to read! If we have mistagged a photo of yours or you want a photo removed please email us.
