Happy Friday! Yippee for the weekend! This week flew by for us, anyone else? We had busy busy busy busy days, so that is most definitely why it felt too short. Fun nonetheless. The weather was finally not unbearably hot, so we spent plenty of time outdoors. One day we walked a nearby promenade for a few hours after filling up on delicious ice-cream. Another day we played ball (my son’s favorite activity) with a brand new ball he got to pick out an hour prior — and our sweet dog, Daphne, destroyed it immediately. <sigh> Luckily it was only 90cents at Michaels, but it was the very last one. So, time to search for a new one!
My pup doesn’t realize the giant beast that she is, so I can’t be too upset with her for unknowingly destroying things just by holding them in her mouth. Plus my son loves to throw balls for her to catch, so at least he enjoyed watching her destroy it. I’ve previously shared with you a list of her favorite toys — dog toys that she cannot destroy! And although we had a ball on that list with us, she feels the NEED to have what’s not hers. With the weather becoming more and more perfect for all-day outdoor activities I am sure I will run into this exact situation many more times. Maybe we should just stick with playing only with dog balls outside from now on…
