Happy Thursday, and happy day one-thousand of being quarantined indoors! Just kidding, but it certainly feels that way doesn’t it? Today I am sharing with you some of my favorite at home date night ideas that you and your partner can do, too! Date nights are important to continue in a relationship, no matter how long you’ve been together. Also, no matter the circumstance (i.e. kids, work, or quarantined indoors) date nights should continue to be planned by the both of you. After all, date nights help keep your spark alive!
Just because we’re all stuck at home doesn’t mean the date nights need to come to a halt. Below I have listed out a few of my favorite at home date night ideas for you to find inspiration from! Get creative an have fun!
Wine Tasting
Start your date night off with a wine tasting. Get yourself an insulated glass to keep your wine cool, especially if you opt for an outdoor picnic (an idea further down on this list!). Not interested in wine? Try another drink of choice or switch things up and do an icecream tasting together!
Fondue
Mix up your usual cooking routine and use a fondue pot! Easily create a cheesy appetizer, savory meal, sweet dessert, or use it for all three courses! With endless fondue recipes, you are sure to create a fun and perfect meal together! Plus who doesn’t love melted cheese and chocolate?
Cook Together
Cook together or have a pizza cook-off! Skip the frozen pizza and delivery and get creative making your own from scratch! Delicious and fun — add all the toppings you want (even if that means five different kinds of cheese), and see who can create the best pizza pie!
Outside Picnic
Spread out a cozy blanket and pillows, and take your meal outside for a sweet and romantic picnic. Use lanterns or string lights to add a soft and romantic glow.
Movie Marathon
Have a movie marathon or binge-watch your favorite TV show together with a projector. Easy to set up inside or outside (perfect for summer nights). Change up your nightly Netflix routine and use a projector to give you an at-the-theatre feel. Don’t forget the candy and popcorn!
Board Game
Get silly and get laughing — play a board game together! Play a classic or give a new one a try, like Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. Based on reviews, this game will have you crying from laughing so hard! Check out more two-player games!
Play Music
Having music play in your home can instantly put you in a better mood, but playing music yourself is sure to put you in the best mood. Even if you don’t already play an instrument, now is the time to give one a try! Learn your favorite songs together — no one else is around to judge your off-key playing and singing!
Intimate Conversation
Ignite the spark between the two of you with help from a conversation card game for couples. Focus on one another and be reminded of what brought you together in the first place.
Make S’mores
Get your favorite graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate ready for a sweet (and sometimes messy) treat. Light the fireplace, fire pit, or get yourself a tabletop s‘mores maker and have yourself a sweet ending to your date night at home!
