Happy Thursday!ย It’s been so hot and muggy here lately; I find myself wearing my hair up every single day because of it. Although my go-to is typically the classic messy “mom bun,” I do love when I take the time to pull my hair up into a styled, low ponytail. My favorite way to style my low ponytail is to first use a hair wand and finish it off with one of my favorite sea salt sprays. I basically do my summer tousled hair routineย but pull it all up in the end. If I’m feeling real put-together that day, I’ll usually top it all off with tying on a hair scarf. My super easy summer hairstyle, for sure!
Today I am sharing with you some perfect summer hairstyles to help keep you cool and looking your best all summer long! Belowย I have 20 summer ponytail hairstyles in categories of high ponytails, low ponytails, scrunchie added, hair scarf added, and ponytails with braids. As you will see, some of these hairstyles include multiple categories. For instance, a low ponytail with a braid and hair scarf. There are so many beautiful options! Take a look and have fun styling your hair this summer!

High Ponytail
High ponytails can be so fashionable and statement-making. Plus, it’s the perfect way to keep your neck cool on those super hot days.
Low Ponytail
My favorite kind of ponytail to wear — low with some tousled waves to it! There is something so simple and summer-y about a low ponytail. Add in your favorite sea salt spray for a textured look. w
Braided Ponytail
Braids always add a touch of glamour and fun to any hairstyles! I love the simplicity of adding a braid to the tail of the ponytail, but if you are talented enough to do an elaborate all-over braid, I applaud you!
Scrunchie Ponytail
I am totally loving the return of the scrunchie! I remember how cool it was in the 90s to wear one — in your hair and on your wrist. I was only a kid, but obviously on-trend (thanks, mom). I love how delicate they are for your hair as opposed to thin and tight hair ties that are constantly ripping my hair out.
Hair Scarf Ponytail
Adding a hair scarf is an easy way to make your simple ponytail more eye-catching and make it look like it took way more effort to do your hair. When really, we know it can be a lazy girl hair hack. Looking for more hair scarf ideas? There’s a post for that!
