How To Make A Mimosa Bar Sign
I created two mimosa bar signs for a DIY Breakfast At Tiffany’s bridal shower. For both mimosa bar signs I used thick white poster board from Micheal’s, but you can always check out Amazon for deals on larger qualities. I kept the “pop the BUBBLY” sign the standard size, and trimmed the “Mimosa Bar Darling” sign to a smaller size using a razor blade. It’s THICK, so scissors will not do. I chose white and bought this blue paint – this paint was the perfect Tiffany shade, and painting was far easier than searching for the right shade of Tiffany Blue poster board. After purchasing the right color poster board or paint, you can start creating!
STEP 1: Write it out
Take your time and write out in pencil the text of the sign. Don’t worry, you can make mistakes – once you paint over the words you won’t be able to see the pencil marks!
Step 2 – Paint it
I’ve used A LOT of paint pens, and this one was great for this project. It wrote smoothly on the poster board and didn’t run out of ink after completing all the projects. What more could you possibly want from a paint pen?
Step 3- Add paper flowers and glitter
To make the sign more special and unique, I created paper flowers to decorate the bottom of the sign and added glitter glue to the words “BUBBLY” and “HUBBY.”  I was really happy with the results of the glitter glue I used. To help the glitter go on more smooth and even I used a small paint brush.Â
I followed these exact steps to create the Mimosa Bar sign that accompanied this sign (and photo frame prop). I was really happy with the final outcome of the signs. All signs were super easy to make and were tailored to the theme of a Breakfast At Tiffany’s bridal shower. Want to make paper flowers? Click here to see how!Â
