My favorite and easiest way to decorate for Halloween is with bats on the walls. We’ve been reusing a simple $5 pack from Amazon for two years now. They’re only hung up using small adhesive stickers, but they look great and hold up well on the walls.
They held up so well that by January my toddler told me it was probably time to take them down. In my defense I had a five-month-old I was busy day and night with, I LOVE Halloween, and the bats stayed put with the simple adhesive provided. My toddler was the motivation I needed to finally take the bats down.

This year I want to incorporate them into our outdoor decor for the first time. More specifically, I want to add the Halloween bats on the front door… flying across the door. The key to this Halloween look is to not only add the bats to the front door but to the sides of the house and/or windows next to the door to give it that flying by look. This is such an easy yet impactful way to add a little outdoor Halloween decor to your home.
We have a South-facing home, so we tend to get A LOT of sunshine on the front door. This has been a slight problem with hanging decor with adhesive stickers in the past. To my total disappointment, they get too hot and fall right off. Therefore, I may opt for a different hanging technique should I carry out this batty Halloween idea. Which I really really want to.
Today I am sharing with you some of my favorite inspirations for this simple and fun Halloween idea.
