Happy Friday, and happy July 1st! Can you believe it is already July? The heat outside says July, but my mind says otherwise. The days are going by too fast. The years even. This is what I am struggling the most with. Coming to terms that it is July already makes me weep for the past year. In just five short days my baby will be one-years-old. I can still remember one year ago in great detail. After all, it was the last time I had a full night of rest.

I walked day and night in the blistering heat with my toddler, trying to “walk the baby out”. By July 1 I was more than uncomfortable and ready for baby #2’s arrival. Alas, five days later he arrived. Now one year later and he walks day and night with me and his toddler brother. Most recently he walked the sandy beach for our yearly family vacation.
Time moves at an unprecedented pace, I’ve felt this more so in the past year than I ever have. This is why I have truly been trying my hardest to slow down, live in the moment just a little more, and even find every ounce of beauty in those sleepless nights where I rock my almost one-year-old back to sleep.
If you caught any of my beachy (my surfboard beach aesthetic) posts from this past week, you would have seen that rest is the last thing I did on our beach vacation due to my baby being unable to sleep. I never get to see him sleep anymore. He used to sleep in my arm constantly months ago, but no longer does that interest him. He loves his bed, and I will not complain. But sleeping in my arms is all he wanted to do on vacation.
Every single night, with my eyes fighting to close, I would stare at his sleeping face in my arms, knowing it won’t always be this way. Next year he and his brother will probably happily share a bedroom together and sleep all night after non-stop days of play. For now, I will cherish these precious and fleeting moments… with pure and total exhaustion.

This year I bought new swimsuits for the beach — more specifically, one-piece swimsuits and I couldn’t be more in love! If you’re looking for a one-piece that is comfortable and shows off a lot of back, take a look below at my favorites from this year!
***please read reviews, what worked for me may not work for you (The J Crew ones have mainly HORRIBLE reviews but the few good reviews gave me hope, and they worked great for me)
5. Let’s Get Social
Here are a few surf/beach/summer-themed TikToks I found over the past week:
